300M+ blue-collar workers in India have no digital job platform. LinkedIn and Naukri serve white-collar professionals. Local workers (plumbers, electricians, drivers, domestic help) rely on word-of-mouth and physical notice boards — inefficient, limited reach, zero trust verification.
🛠 What We Built
Built a hyperlocal job marketplace with phone OTP authentication (no email needed), role-based access (Worker/Employer/Admin), OCR-based Aadhaar verification for trust, multi-language support (English/Hindi), and skill-based matching with location radius filtering.

📚 What We Learned
Evolved from a generic job board to a trust-first platform. Building for non-tech-savvy users requires radically different UX — minimal text, large tap targets, vernacular language, and voice input. The Aadhaar OCR verification was the trust unlock that made employers actually hire through the platform. Firebase Auth + Supabase is a powerful combo for rapid MVPs with real-time features.
